Narrabri Shire Council are seeking a suitably qualified project manager to manage a new public art installation.
The Project Manager will lead and execute the Shire's first mural Public Art Project.
The public art project is a large-scale mural involving extensive collaboration with the Council, CREATE Festival, Local Aboriginal Lands Council, Schools, and the Community.
The Project Manager will oversee the execution of the public art installation, undertake consultation, stakeholder collaboration and oversee the appointment process of the artists and team. The project manager will conduct project management throughout the delivery of the project and final works including close out reports and community response and feedback.
The primary objective of this project is to deliver a visually captivating and culturally resonant piece of public art that encapsulates the essence of the Narrabri region's history, diversity, and connection to its surroundings. By transcending barriers such as race, language, and disability, this art piece will become a unifying symbol for the entire community. It will deepen the region's ongoing narrative, fostering a sense of pride and shared identity.
Submissions must include an outline of previous experience and knowledge in the following areas:
- Project Management, include previous managed projects
- Community Consultation
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Previous experience in similar Public Art Projects and murals
- Experience Collecting, analysing and reporting data
- Contractor Management
- WHS
- Outline of local Indigenous and Community connections
The project will run through 2025, and the expected completion date is November 2025.
