NarraBRIGHT 2025

Council is encouraging local community groups, CBD businesses, local artists, stall holders and food vendors to complete an Expression of Interest for NarraBRIGHT 2025.

NarraBRIGHT 2025 will be held on Friday, 14 March from 6.00pm to 11.00pm.

The event will include light projection, live music, late night shopping, street food stalls, performers, kids’ activity zones, art workshops and many more surprises!

We're seeking Expressions of Interest for the following:

CBD businesses: Join the party with a window display, late night shopping or special activity. Complete the application to receive your free activation kit.

Vacant to Vibrant Window Decal Program

Council is delivering the Vacant to Vibrant Program, as part of 2024 Christmas Activation activities which have been funded as part of the NSW Government’s Open Streets Program, led by Transport for NSW.

Do you have a vacant shop for lease? Property owners and agents can apply for free festive window decals to transform empty shopfronts. These eye-catching designs not only boost the holiday spirit but also attract possible tenants by showcasing the shop's business potential.

Narrabri Shire Council Public Art Advisory Committee

Expression of Interest are being sought from interested community members to join the Narrabri Shire Council Public Art Advisory Committee.

The responsibility of the Public Art Advisory Committee is to:

  • Encourage art in public places in the Narrabri Shire LGA;
  •  Raise the profile, recognition, understanding and appreciation of public art and its development,
  •  Ensure that public art complements and enhances the natural and built environments of the Narrabri Shire LGA and reflects its unique character, history, values and aspirations.
  •  Guide and facilitate a coordinated and strategically planned approach to the development and management of public art in the Narrabri Shire LGA Ensure that public art in the Narrabri Shire LGA is sustainable in social, cultural, environmental and economic terms.
  •  Ensure that public art is given due consideration in Council’s strategic directions, policies and planning controls

Tenders Received

Please find below the list of relevant Tenders Received that are currently active and available by Narrabri Shire Council:

Contract 2024-25-12 - Construction and installation of Selina Street Reservoir Stair Access

This tender is for Contract 2024-25-12 - Construction and installation of Selina Street Reservoir Stair Access (referred to herewith as "Works under Contract" or "WUC") in the Narrabri Shire Council (referred to herewith as "the Principal") local government area.

Council is seeking the services of a suitably exprienced Contractor to construct stairs in accordance with the structural design prepared by GHD. The tender is to include all ancillary works project management and site costs.

The tender should outline plans to minimise the disturbance to the adjacent properties through the production of a communications plan.

The Contractor will be self-sufficient in terms of providing all labour, plant and equipment, etc., to carry out these activities.

Contractors carrying out work under this contract will assume the role of Principal Contractor under the WHS Regulations 2011.

Full detailed requirements for the documents are provided in the Works under Contract.

This is a Quality Assured Contract with method of payment being made in Lump Sum. The General Conditions of Contract shall be Australian Standard AS 4000-1997 inclusive of Annexures Part A and Part B.

The Contract is to be completed within 20 weeks of acceptance of the tender.

Tenderers are to register their interest in attending the pre-tender meeting by telephoning the Pincipal's Contracts Officer Bill Wood on (02) 6799 6866 at least two (2) working days prior to the meeting.

The mandatory pre-tender meeting will be held on Tuesday, 14 January 2025 at 11.00am via Microsoft Teams (invite will be provided upon registration with the Contracts Officer).
