2024 Christmas and New Year Opening Hours

CLOSED from 4.00pm Tuesday, 24 December 2024.
RE-OPEN 9.00am Thursday, 2 January 2025.

Requests can still be submitted via email. However, please be aware that your request will not be addressed until Council's Customer Service team returns on Thursday, 2 January 2025.

For urgent matters, you can contact us by calling 02 6799 6866 and following the prompts to speak with our after-hours service.  

All Shire libraries will be CLOSED between Christmas and New Year.

• Boggabri Library will close at 4.30pm on Tuesday, 24 December.
• Narrabri Library will close at 5.00pm on Tuesday, 24 December.
• Wee Waa Library will close at 12.30pm on Tuesday, 24 December.

Narrabri and Wee Waa libraries will RE-OPEN on Thursday, 2 January 2025.

Boggabri Library will RE-OPEN on Friday, 3 January 2025.

Narrabri Shire's essential services, including waste and recycling collections, will continue throughout the Christmas and New Year holiday period. However, please take note of the following schedule adjustments:

• Wednesday, 25 December 2024 will be collected on Thursday, 26 December 2024 (Please note: Collections may be carried over to Friday, 27 December).
• Wednesday, 1 January 2025 will be collected on Thursday, 2 January 2025.

Please ensure to put your bins out the night prior to collection.

The Narrabri Waste Facility and Shire Transfer Stations will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

The Crossing Theatre Cinemas will be CLOSED on Wednesday, 25 December and will RE-OPEN on Thursday, 26 December.

Please visit The Crossing Theatre website or The Crossing Theatre Facebook page for scheduled movie times.

The Crossing Cafe will be CLOSED from Wednesday, 25 December 2024 and will RE-OPEN from 9.00am Monday, 3 February 2025.

The Regulatory Compliance Team will be unavailable from Tuesday, 24 December 2024 until Thursday, 2 January 2025.

During this closure period, members of the team will only respond to dog attacks. Members of the community can report a dog attack via Council's after hours number.

All other matters, including straying animals or collection of animals, will be actioned from Thursday, 2 January 2025.
