At the May 2024 Ordinary Council Meeting, Narrabri Shire Council resolved to place the Renewable Energy Implementation Plan on Public Exhibition for a period of 28 days.

The purpose of this Consultation Paper is to seek input and feedback from the community on the proposed actions identified for potential inclusion in the Narrabri Shire Council Renewable Energy Implementation Plan, currently being developed by Council.

Narrabri Shire Council Mayor Darrell Tiemens has called on residents to do their part and review the draft documents.

“I strongly encourage all residents to read through the Shire’s Renewable Energy Implementation Plan and provide their feedback,” Tiemens said.

“Strategies around renewable energy projects are becoming increasingly important across NSW. It’s essential that our residents understand the implications for our towns and communities. By actively engaging in this consultation process, residents play a vital role in shaping the future of renewable energy in the Narrabri Shire”.

The Renewable Energy Implementation Plan can be viewed online via Council’s website.

Members of the public are invited to make comments on the draft document until 5.00pm Wednesday, 26 June 2024.
