Our Narrabri Shire 2035: Your voice is our future
Published on 20 November 2024
Narrabri Shire Council is hitting the streets across the region to find out what is most important to residents as part of the Community Strategic Plan (CSP) review.
The CSP reflects the community’s long-term vision for the future of Narrabri Shire Council and knowing what residents love, value, and want improved is vital to the plan’s success.
Narrabri Shire Mayor, Cr Darrell Tiemens, is looking forward to engaging with the community and hearing firsthand their ideas.
“This CSP review we are running a number of engagement activities across Baan Baa, Bellata, Boggabri, Gwabegar, Pilliga, Narrabri and Wee Waa," advised Cr Tiemens.
“Our CSP drives the decisions made by Council on some of the most important things to our community members so we are making a huge effort to connect with as many people as we can during this consultation period."
The first Our Narrabri Shire 2035 pop-up will be held this Friday from 5.00pm to 8.00pm at the Unite PCYC Indoor Sport Complex in Wee Waa, followed by a pop-up next Wednesday from 10.00am to 2.00pm at the Boggabri Community Space.
For those who can’t make it to one of the pop-up events there is an online survey option on Council’s Your Say website.
“The community consultation period will run until the end of January, following which Council will refresh the CSP utilising the feedback received from the community," explained Cr Tiemens.
“The updated document will then be placed on public exhibition in April so that people can see which ideas and suggestions have been able to be incorporated into the plan."
