Narrabri Shire launch Community Conversation BBQs in 2023

Narrabri Shire will launch a series of free community barbecues in 2023, allowing residents to connect with staff and elected Councillors.

Council will hold five BBQs over the coming months in Boggabri, Wee Waa, Bellata, Gwabegar, and Narrabri.

The Community Conversation BBQs will offer excellent opportunities to connect with Council staff and their Councillors to find out what’s planned in their area, while also discussing local priorities and concerns.

The first Community Conversation BBQ will take place in Boggabri from 3-7pm on Thursday, 9 February at Vickery Park. Several Council departments will be in attendance including Parks & Gardens, Water, Business Development, Waste, Planning and Customer Service. An independent consultant from WRM Water & Environment will also be present, to discuss the water study for Boggabri.

Dates for Wee Waa, Bellata, Gwabegar, and Narrabri BBQs will be confirmed at the next Council meeting.
