Narrabri Shire Council adopts 2024/2025 Operational Plan

Narrabri Shire Council has adopted its 2024/2025 Operational Plan at the June Ordinary Council Meeting.

The 2024/2025 Operational Plan outlines Council's key strategic priorities for the year ahead and guides its commitment to serving the needs and aspirations of residents and businesses.

The 2024/2025 Operational Plan features several key highlights, not least $37.49 million in capital works to develop, upgrade and maintain a range of infrastructure including the Shire's roads, pools, community buildings and open spaces.

This includes splash parks across Wee Waa, Narrabri and Boggabri, the Wee Waa Community and Business Hub,and the Boggabri Civic Precinct. Upgrades to Narrabri's Dangar Park,$1.3 million and $1 million for the Narrabri Tourism Hub are also a feature.

The plan includes the move into implementation of our Economic Development Strategy and Regional Workforce and Skills Strategy, Youth Strategy, Crime Prevention Plan, and continued implementation of Council's Disability Inclusion Action Plan.

"By supporting our local community and fostering growth, Council aims to create a vibrant and resilient place to work,visit and live for all," Mayor Tiemens said.
