Narrabri Shire Council adopts 2023/2024 Operational Plan

Narrabri Shire Council is pleased to announce the adoption of its 2023/2024 Operational Plan. This comprehensive roadmap sets the stage for an exciting period of growth, progress, and community development in our region.
The 2023/2024 Operational Plan outlines a strategic vision that aligns with our commitment to serving the needs and aspirations of our residents and businesses.
Key highlights of the plan include:
- Infrastructure Upgrades: Council is dedicated to enhancing our infrastructure network. The Operational Plan allocates $47million to upgrade and maintain roads, bridges, and utilities to improve connectivity and facilitate efficient mobility.
- Sustainable Initiatives: Environmental sustainability is a top priority. The plan introduces initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint, promote renewable energy adoption, and enhance waste management practices, fostering a greener and more sustainable future for our community.
- Economic Growth: The Operational Plan emphasises economic development strategies that encourage business growth, attract investment, and create employment opportunities. By supporting local entrepreneurs and fostering innovation, Council aims to create a vibrant and resilient local economy.
- Community Wellbeing: The wellbeing of our residents is paramount. The plan emphasises the provision of high-quality community services, including health and social programs, recreational facilities, and cultural initiatives. Council is committed to creating an inclusive and thriving community for all.
