Set against the backdrop of Narrabri’s vibrant main street, this year’s NarraBRIGHT promises to be the most spectacular yet.
Next Friday’s annual celebration is set to dazzle with its theme of Dream, inviting locals and visitors to experience a night filled with surprises and artistic wonders.
Featuring not-to-be-missed visual spectacles, art installations, workshops and entertainment, NarraBRIGHT will highlight local artists, musicians and performers, giving them space to shine.
“Council is proud to continue to deliver this free event which celebrates the heart of our community,” Narrabri Shire Mayor Darrell Tiemens said.
“In addition to shining a spotlight on local artists, musicians and performers, NarraBRIGHT showcases local businesses.
“This year we’ve seen a record number of local retailers jump on board to be part of the event, which is just fantastic.
“We really encourage everyone attending NarraBRIGHT to take their time to visit and support our wonderful local businesses, who in turn, support our community in so many different ways,” Mayor Tiemens added.
“We understand it’s really difficult for many people right now, so taking the opportunity to not only enjoy this fantastic free community event, while seeing what’s on offer from our local retailers is a great way to support our town and region.
“NarraBRIGHT is also the perfect opportunity for those who may have a Why Leave Town gift card stashed away to bring it out,” Mayor Tiemens said.
This year’s NarraBRIGHT includes:
-
The Emerald Escape – hosted by Narrabri Community District Aid Service, providing a space to unwind in a magical dreamscape inspired by The Wizard of Oz, including a special screening of this timeless classic.
In addition to a large number of visitors attending the region for NarraBRIGHT, the event will welcome hundreds of Rotarians for the District Rotary Conference, which is being held at The Crossing Theatre.
“We’ve got Rotarians coming to Narrabri from all over New South Wales, so please make sure to give them a big Narrabri Shire welcome,” Mayor Tiemens added.
Mayor Tiemens also thanked the people behind the scenes who make NarraBRIGHT possible.
“I’d just like to take a moment to thank the hardworking volunteers and Narrabri Shire staff who make this event possible every year.
“I’d also like to acknowledge and thank the local retailers, artists, musicians and performers, as well as our community for continuing to support NarraBRIGHT, ensuring its success.”
NarraBRIGHT gets underway from 6.00pm on Friday, 14 March with the projection display starting at 8.00pm, after the event’s official launch.
