Draft Operational Plan & Budget for 2024/2025 on Public Exhibition
Published on 08 May 2024
At its Extraordinary Council Meeting on 6 May 2024, Council resolved to place the draft 2024/2025 Operational Plan and Budget on public exhibition for a period of 28 days.
The draft 2024/2025 Operational Plan and Budget includes the budget for both operational and capital projects, the rates structure and proposed fees and charges for Council facilities and services.
Narrabri Shire Council's Mayor Darrell Tiemens was pleased with the proposed actions and works for the upcoming financial year.
“The Draft Budget and Plans are essential for the continuous improvement of our Shire. It’s noteworthy that Narrabri Shire is one of the few councils in our area that has not applied for a Special Rate Variation (SRV) above the standard increase. I encourage everyone in the community to review these documents and provide feedback to ensure our priorities are well-aligned,” said Mayor Tiemens.
“There are several projects of community interest scheduled to be undertaken in the 2024/2025 financial year, including the commencement of works on the Boggabri Civic Precinct and the Wee Waa Community Centre, the installation of splash parks in Boggabri, Wee Waa and Narrabri and the upgrade of the Yarrie Lake Circuit.”
The 2024/2025 Operational Plan and Budget can be viewed online via Council’s website.
Members of the public are invited to make comments on these draft policies until 5.00pm Tuesday 4 June 2024.
Submissions must be made in writing to the General Manager via:
