Council adopts 2022/2023 Financial Statements and Auditors Report

At an Extraordinary Council Meeting held on 23 July, Narrabri Shire Council resolved to adopt the 2022/2023 Annual Report with Financial Statements and Auditors Report.

Addressing Council, Audit Principal for Forsyths, Jacob Sauer, praised management and staff for their efforts.

“It’s very positive for Council that they’ve been able to supply us with sufficient evidence, and it cannot be understated how much work that management and staff have put in,” said Sauer.

In accordance with Section 420 of the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW), any person may make a submission regarding Council’s Audited Financial Statements or the Auditor’s Reports, which will be considered by Council’s auditor:

Submissions must be:

• made in writing to the General Manager of Narrabri Shire Council (via post: PO Box 261, Narrabri, NSW, 2390; or via email: council@narrabri.nsw.gov.au); and
• made before 5:00pm Tuesday, 30 July 2024.

A copy of the Audited Financial Statements and the Auditor’s Reports for the year ending 30 June 2023 can be inspected at Council’s Administration Building (located at 46-48 Maitland Street, Narrabri) or online here.
