Community Financial Assistance Grants Round 2 recipients

Nine community groups have received funding towards local projects, programs, and events through the second round of Narrabri Shire’s Community Financial Assistance Grants for 2023/24.

At an official ceremony and deed signing held yesterday in the Council Chambers, $42,460 was shared across the organisations.

Speaking after the ceremony, Narrabri Shire Mayor Darrell Tiemens congratulated the recipients and thanked them for their continued commitment to the Narrabri Shire community.

“It was with great pride that I announced the funding for each of these community groups and their members who continue to give so much to our local community,” he said.

“The funds have been provided to upgrade crucial infrastructure, support programs and community-wide events, which ultimately benefits all who live in Narrabri Shire, and those who visit our region.

“Council is proud to support our community groups and their committed volunteers, and I thank them for their ongoing dedication,” Mayor Tiemens added.

The Community Financial Assistance Grant program is based on funding rounds and Council provides up-front financial contributions to eligible groups for their activities.
