Boggabri community workshop postponed

The second community workshop in Boggabri (planned for March 30) has been postponed, while Council engages a Master Planner for a Civic and Cultural Precinct.

During the initial workshop on March 16, residents identified a Civic and Cultural Precinct as a priority project. Narrabri Shire Council will begin the search for a suitable organisation with expertise in developing master plans for similar projects, in late March. Their valuable insights, perspective, and ideas will ensure the Boggabri project is well conceived and well executed.

Council’s engagement of a Master Planner will establish a clear path forward, and ensure the project meets the needs of the community. The planner will bring extensive experience and knowledge of urban design, planning, and development to the project.

Council is grateful for the feedback received and understands the importance of the project to the Boggabri Community. Further details will be shared as they come to hand, with the workshops to resume as soon as a Master Planner is confirmed.
