Narrabri Shire is gearing up for an incredible Australia Day and invites all residents and visitors to join on January 26th, 2024.

This year, we are delighted to announce our Australia Day Ambassador, Mr. Clyde Campbell AM, Founder of the Shake It Up Foundation, as a special guest. Mr. Campbell will attend events in Wee Waa, Narrabri, and Boggabri. 

Australia Day 2024 Events

Our events are packed with excitement, from welcoming new Australian citizens to a day filled with family fun activities. 

Additionally, all Shire pools will offer FREE ENTRY throughout the public holiday, welcoming everyone to enjoy a refreshing swim between 12.00pm - 6.00pm.

Boggabri

Where: Boggabri Memorial Swimming Pool, Laidlaw St & Caxton St, BOGGABRI
Time: 1.00pm
Program:

  • Australia Day celebration,
  • FREE Sausage Sizzle
  • Entertainment.

Narrabri

Where: Narrabri Aquatic Centre, Multipurpose room, Tibbereena St, NARRABRI
Time: 10.00am
Program:

  • Australia Day Awards
  • Australian Citizenship Ceremony
  • Family Fun Day at Narrabri Pool at 12.00pm
Family Fun Day

Narrabri Aquatic Centre,
Tibbereena St, Narrabri NSW 2390

Time: 12.00pm-5.30pm

Families can enjoy a Fun Day with free BBQ, snow cones, a jumping castle, and face painting.

Where: The Namoi Echo Museum, Rose St, WEE WAA
Time: From 7.00am
Program:

  • Free breakfast from 7.00am
  • Australia Day Celebration at 8.00am
