Join Narrabri Shire Council for a free and uplifting afternoon in honour of the incredible contributions of rural women in our region, especially their vital role in disaster recovery.

Hosted by Council's Community Recovery Officer, this event is a celebration of the women who strengthen and shape our community through resilience, leadership, and connection.

Event Highlights:

  • Delicious Lunch: Enjoy a sit-down meal with cash bar. 
  • Inspiring Panel Discussions: Hear from a diverse lineup of guest speakers who will share their stories and insights on leadership, resilience, and community building.
  • Networking Activities: Participate in fun and engaging networking opportunities designed to expand your social and support circles.
  • Live Music & Relaxation: Unwind with live music from Gilly Goddard. 

Event Host:

Director and Clinical Psychologist, Boundless Psychology, Melinda Guest.
A dedicated advocate for rural mental health, Melinda will guide the afternoon as MC. With a wealth of experience in clinical psychology, she brings a deep understanding of the unique mental health challenges faced by rural communities. Malinda teaches and supervises final-year Master’s psychology students at the University of New England. As a member of several committees including APS NSW College of Clinical Psychologists and APS Interest Group for Rural and Remote Psychologists, Malinda has a passion for rural mental health and juggles a diverse array of roles including mother, wife, clinical psychologist, director, and supervisor.
