Join the Mural for Our Youth Project these School Holidays!
Narrabri Shire's Mural for Our Youth Project is an exciting opportunity for all school-aged children to express their thoughts and experiences around disaster recovery through art! This initiative focuses on social recovery, building resilience, and raising awareness about the importance of water, the river ecosystem, and the natural flooding cycle.
What to Expect:
- A fun and creative workshop to help design murals for Council buildings!
- Explore colour theory and how it can be used to express emotions.
- Learn how to use motifs to develop a strong message in art.
- Learn about disaster recovery and resilience.
- Be part of a community-driven project that fosters pride and ownership in shared spaces.
- Work with Jule Jarner a local artist and create something meaningful that reflects our community’s experiences and values.
This event is open to all school-aged children!
All materials are provided, and no prior art experience is needed.
