EmergencyRedi Workshop - Narrabri

Emergency Plan.jpg

Narrabri Shire Council and the Australian Red Cross are holding free workshops to help residents prepare for natural disasters.

Through these workshops, you will learn about local risks and the practical, psychological, and social steps you can take to prepare for emergencies and minimise the impacts of disasters and other crises on your life.

Participating in an EmergencyRedi workshop will give you an introduction to preparedness, allow you to begin your emergency RediPlan, and provide you with the knowledge and tools to continue preparing yourself and the people most important to you for emergencies.

The EmergencyRedi workshop will cover four key areas and help you create a RediPlan.

  1. Get in the Know - Know the risks you face, including weather risks in your local area, how your life might be disrupted and who can help.
  2. Get Connected - How to connect to your community to help each other in an emergency.
  3. Get Organised - Make a plan and ensure you’re covered to reduce stress and save you precious time as you recover.
  4. Get Packing - Get practical and learn what items to pack that will help you during and after an emergency.

The NSW SES and NSW Rural Fire Service will also be onsite to provide local knowledge.

This is a free event sponsored by the NSW Reconstruction Authority.
