Libraries

There are three Libraries within Narrabri Shire. They are located in Wee Waa, Narrabri and Boggabri.

Membership to any of the Council Libraries is free of charge.

Anyone who is over 18 years of age can join the library. If you are under 18 but would like to become a member, you will need your parent/s to sign the card on your behalf. Before signing the membership agreement, you will be required to read the terms and conditions of membership and agree to abide by them.

The Boggabri library is opened 3 days a week, please see hours below. Boggabri Library book returns will only be accepted on Tuesday and Friday via return trolley which will be available at the library entrance.

Mobile Library

The mobile library van facilitates the delivery of library services and programs to outlying townships such as Bellata, Gwabegar, and Pilliga once a month.

Library services and programs include internet & computer access, device & technology advice, printing & scanning services, JP Service, and brain training groups.

Registered members benefit from home library deliveries and a wide selection of items that can be browsed and borrowed. The mobile library van also offers Baby Rhyme Time and Storytimes.

Pilliga

Bellata

Library Services

Narrabri Shire Libraries Home Delivery Service

Home Library Service once a month is now available in the following towns and villages - Bellata, Boggabri, Gwabegar, Narrabri, Pilliga and Wee Waa!

This is a monthly delivery service based on the personal preference of the borrowers. The Home Library Service allows library members to borrow books, large print books, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs and magazines while remaining at home.

To be eligible for these services, you must reside in the Narrabri Shire, hold a library membership, and have completed an application form and reader profile questionnaire (located below).
