Time to review our Community Strategic Plan
Every four years, Narrabri Shire Council must review its 10-year vision for the future of Narrabri Shire. This document is called the Community Strategic Plan. This plan sets out the framework for all Council's activities and programs during the four year Council term and should work towards achieving the long term vision of the community.
Over November and December this year we will be completing an intensive period of community engagement activities to find out what you want for Narrabri Shire. We are encouraging the community to THINK BIG about how they want Narrabri Shire to look in 2027! No idea is too big and remember your little idea could be the next "big thing" for Narrabri Shire!
Where to now?
Community surveys and workshops have now closed for the Think BIG community engagement period. Thank you to all those who showed great enthusiasm for the future of their communities and gave their input.
The ideas and opportunities brought up in the workshops will now be sorted through and discussed at Focus Group meetings in late January to further develop strategies and actions for the four theme areas.
The Draft Community Strategic Plan will be on public exhibition in May and will be widely distributed across Narrabri Shire at that time to encourage feedback.
