Community Satisfaction to be measured

If you are contacted over the phone to answer questions about Narrabri Shire Council, its services and facilities – don’t be surprised. Council has recently engaged an external research company Micromex to conduct a community survey of Narrabri Shire residents. Micromex will be randomly contacting members of our community by telephone from Monday 18 September 2017 in order to gauge community satisfaction and provide a benchmark for the future.

Council as part of its role has to report on how it is achieving its strategic goals laid out within its adopted Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework. “It is important for Council to get regular feedback from the community on how it is performing,” explained General Manager, Stewart Todd.

“Council has just commenced the implementation of its Delivery Program which covers the next four-year period. This Program was developed through the Think BIG Community Consultation sessions in late 2016 and outlines the objectives and strategies for Council in the coming 4 years.”

“This survey will give us a good indication of the communities’ perception of how Council are achieving the objectives identified by the community and the community’s level of satisfaction of how well Council provides its services and facilities.”

The survey questions will cover basic demographics, the importance of and satisfaction with Council’s services and facilities and the satisfaction levels of the community according to the Council’s measures outlined in the Delivery Program.
